The One Where I Complain..

Really, I am a pretty easy going gal, I go with the flow, and I hate to make waves if they don't need to be made. Why make things rockier than they need to be, ya know? But I have a few things that just really get on my nerves..
  • One word answers - Really it doesn't matter who they're from, it bugs me. I always try my hardest to give more than a one word answer. It seems like if a one word answer is all that someone can come up with, they might as well have just not answered at all. Maybe that’s strange.
  • People saying "I know how you feel" - I guess that in my irrational mind, I think that I'm the only person in the world who ever feels like I feel. I know that’s not true, so don't jump down my throat. But when someone who I KNOW has NO idea how I feel says it, I literally want to rip their lips off so they can no longer speak such nonsense.
  • Being hung up on - Its so high school. And I hated it in high school. What does it accomplish? Nothing. It makes you look like a fool.
  • Being ignored or cut off - I am a person, and I have a voice. Even if you don't like what I say, behave like a human being and listen. I promise I'll let you have your turn!
  • Nosiness - (is that how its spelled?) I'll be the first to admit that I am nosey, but not in a way where I am constantly in other peoples business. I just let the info come to me, and really WANT to know what’s going on with everyone, but I don't butt myself into their lives. I HATE when people do it to mine. So if I don't bring it up, these things are none of your damn business: My financial situation, what I ate today, and my family issues. If you don't want me to be all up in something about your life, keep your ass out of mine.
  • Unsolicited advice - Not all of it obviously. But from people who aren't close to me, or people who have no basis for their advice, it drives me nuts. I'm glad whatever it was that worked for someone you know's relative's brother's friend's aunt worked for them, don't assume that we have the same things going on.
  • Bad grammar - This is just a me being a snob or something. I hate bad grammar. We all went through the same grammar classes in elementary, middle school, high school, etc. Use it.
This post probably makes me sound like a bitch, but its my blog. So suck it.

  1. I totally know how you feel (just kidding, you know I had to do it). :)

Ok again, I could have written this post, although I will admit I'm guilty in the nosiness area.

I'm a grammar freak too. Really, how hard is it to know the difference between "their, there, they're" and "your and you're"?

And my biggest pet peeve grammar wise is: a lot. It's TWO WORDS, not ONE! Two words people!
